A 12 volt coffee maker,
or a battery operated coffee maker, is great for travel. Not only does
the small volt number make a 12 volt coffee maker good for conserving
energy, most of these types of coffee makers are fairly small, making
them easy to take on trips. It is even possible to get a cappuccino
maker in this style, although an espresso maker that is battery operated,
or only requires 12 volts, is much harder to come by. You can get a
slow drip maker, and this helps preserve the best possible flavour,
even though your coffee machine is rather small and may not pack a
whole lot of punch.
Electric
coffee makers are a must for most people. This is because
one can make more coffee faster. Indeed, a 12 volt machine
can make 5-10 cups of coffee. That is pretty standard for an
electric home coffee maker. Additionally, it uses less energy,
and many of the 12 volt coffee machines are ideal for travel
because they are small and light. They are also excellent appliances
for a small kitchen or office break room.
Taking along a battery operated coffee maker
While it is not necessary to have a battery operated coffee maker
when one is travelling or camping, they are quite nice. And a true
coffee lover still wants that cup. It is true that you can use a
manual coffee maker over a fire, but it usually takes longer to brew,
and it can be difficult. A coffee machine with battery power can
make your life more convenient, especially in areas where fires are
restricted (areas with high wild life populations or extremely dry
conditions may require that you not light a fire). Having a machine
that works on batteries is a good idea.
No matter where
you are, and what you are doing, it is possible to bring a coffee
pot and brew a cup of two. Or three. Whether you have a battery
powered coffee maker, or whether your pot is small an uses live
electricity, it is possible for you to take these small machines.
In fact, you can operate, by using an adapter with a car’s
cigarette lighter, many types of 12 volt coffee maker.
